The nights are getting longer…

We’ve reached this year’s capacity of BarCamp Berlin. A few days ago we released the last 100 seats for each of our attendee lists. Everyone dwelling on one of the waiting lists has been automatically upgraded. This makes a total of 650 people visiting BarCamp Berlin 3. By now 1,014 people have joined our mixxt platform, interested in joining this un-conference. This is an amazing number. Nevertheless, if you’re in the list of attendees and can’t make it to BarCamp Berlin 3, release your seat as soon as you’re recognizing that you won’t be able to come.

Releasing a seat

In order to release a seat, please check out the events listed on our registration page. Turn into each event and choose “I’wont come” from the upper right box named “Attending”. Then your seat will be given to the next person listed on the corresponding waiting list.

Doing this is more than fair and will enable others to visit BarCamp Berlin 3. For some of those it might be the first BarCamp ever. Of course, we do understand that something can happen that keeps you away from attending this BarCamp, but it would be bad if someone else couldn’t make it though she or he is willing to come.

More seats, T-shirts and Tags

Since tonight there is an extra of 100 seats available for our Welcome Party, the Night of the BarCamp and the main events on Saturday and Sunday. Our “internationals list” remains at a maximum of 100 seats reserved for visitors coming from abroad. Every one of the “next 100” on our waiting list has been upgraded automatically and should now appear in the list of attendees. All members are advised to check out the registration page to find out about their current status of registration.

To reduce this BarCamp’s no show rate, we strongly request all our members to keep their status of attendance up to date. Those who are not able to visit BarCamp Berlin 3 may select “I won’t come” in the corresponding list. By doing this you give a chance of attending to those waiting for a free seat.

We’re going to order the BarCamp T-shirts within the next week. So everybody is asked to check the T-shirt topic added to everyone’s profile questions. Members can choose between different sizes for men and women. If you don’t wish to receive a BarCamp T-Shirt, please select “no T-shirt”. Additionally every member should check the tags stated on the profile. Only the first three tags (separated by comma) will appear on the printed name badge.

Letter of Invitation

We received several inquiries from people that are asked to provide a letter of invitation in order to get Temporary Resident Visa to visit Germany. If you are one of those, please send us the following information:

  • Your complete name
  • Your date of birth
  • Your postal address and telephone number

Send your inquiry to kai@barcampberlin3.org. You will then receive a personalized letter of invitation. But we’re not sure whether this will work as there is no organization or foundation organizing BarCamp Berlin 3. Join the discussion.

Extra List for foreign Visitors

We know that you might need more time to plan your trip to Berlin and therefore created a new list holding back an extra of 100 seats.

http://barcampberlin3.mixxt.org/networks/events/show_event.1755

Attendees on this list will be granted access to the main events on Saturday and Sunday. If you want to join our evening events (Welcome Party, Night of the BarCamp), please add your name to the regular list (there won’t be an extra list for foreign visitors)! Even if our evening events are fully booked. Add your name to the waiting list. We’re working hard to release more space as soon as possible!

Add your name to the list if you’re permanently living outside Germany. This also applies to you if your’re holder of a German passport and permanently living in another country.

Do NOT add your name to the list if you’re permanently living inside Germany though you’re holder of a foreign passport!

If you previously added your name to another attendee list or waiting list, please remove your name from the main event lists to give others the chance to participate as well!

We’re going to check this list regularly. Please be fair! Please do only register for this list if these conditions apply to you!

Remarkable Monday

And thanks for the fish…

350 seats are taken so far. More space will be announced and an extra list for international guests will be opened soon.

There is more space to come so please stand by.
